Meet the team

Meet Claire Devitt BVetMed CertEP MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I am a compassionate vet with many years experience, whose mission is to give the best possible care to my patients and their owners. I have previously worked in equine and small animal practice.

I set up Woodland Vets to get back to traditional veterinary values and to have a highly personal practice with exemplary care at the heart of our work. I am also passionate about continual learning so that patients can receive the best care possible. I have done further training in USA and Canada. We are committed to attending conferences and investing in the latest equipment.

I also believe that a happy team who have the same passion make a supportive and rewarding environment to work in and to provide the best experience for owners and animals.

I have previously set up a small animal and equine surgery and has practiced in the area for many years.

As part of the ethos of this surgery, I would like to help animals who cannot help themselves. I will be neutering stray and homeless animals for various charities. I also volunteer at home and abroad. I have been neutering strays at The Neuter Project locally. Myself and my daughter, who is also training to be a vet, volunteered in India at a large wildlife hospital in December 2025, also gaining valuable experience into wildlife veterinary care.
